Patratu Valley - Captured by Ranjan

A trip to Patratu valley with my MBA friends of IIM Ranchi was planned last year February 2021. I called my friend and told them to be ready for tomorrow to visit Patratu valley. At sharp 6 am we all get into a car which was provided by The Wayfarer. The path was covered with fog outside due to winter and the visibility was poor.

Our journey started, from khelgaon, IIM Ranchi hostel to Patratu was around 40km. Our entire trip was planned deliberately by the wayfarers including places for stopping for breaks. After covering 15km, we halted for the breakfast at a south Indian restaurant and we got a discount for using the wayfarers.

The road through the valley was phenomenal, the scenarios are mind-blowing. The curvy roads were carefully driven while going down the valley. We stopped at multiple spots to take pictures and various selfie points, after which we moved on and reach the Patratu dam. The dam had boating facilities and literally, after a decade I was sailing the boat. The boatman was friendly and the boating was around 45 minutes. After boating, we went to the tea shop nearby and each of us took the tea and after spending around 4hrs at Patratu dam, we decided to return.

A trip to Patratu valley is a must-visit place at Ranchi and I would like to thank The Wayfarers for meticulously planning our trip etching it forever in our memories!
